August?
Too simple to call it the month of transgression. Hot sun and sun bathing bodies, nightlife and frantic parties, spalshes of tropical water; outbursts and amorous escapes, loud music, voices and faces continuosly intersect in meetings and promises; appointments that run up to a nostalgic echo of “summer is ending”.
People live and tell their own story more or less extravagant. And then?

Then there is the choice of offering readers a parallel path, a different size, almost silent but no less captivating. So, through the marvelous exhibition of Gabriele Mattera and Raffaele Iacono, held at the Aragonese Castle, I was dazzled by a shock: in the settings of the works there is the representation of the “birth” of Ischia. But also the spiritual ‘re-birth’ and love in its purest form. And the double meaning is realized, there also is
the matter of writing.
You’ll find it in the pages dedicated to the Ischitan therapeutic magic described by Ann C. Pizzorusso, Italian-American geologist and passionate student of Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. And in the story by musician Federica Lotti, who reveals her energy and joy with our insularity. And, again, in the original report of Maria Luisa Cusati, honorary consul of Portugal, who explains the origins of the popular worship, close to us, of S. Antonio «of Padova and from Lisbon», the saint of youth, future brides and, therefore, of marriages that will be the protagonist of a film just started shooting. Exclusive contributions for us, that crawl in the background almost to harmonize the desires, to mark the breaks before we dive into the great section of the events, following the calendar that we provide you in the usual column, not to be missed!
